Educational use only
The planner, retirement library, and Road Guide provide general educational information and scenario modeling. They do not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, insurance, or other professional advice.
Using the project does not create an adviser-client, planner-client, fiduciary, attorney-client, or other professional relationship. Rest of the Road does not assess whether a strategy, security, transaction, or course of action is suitable for you.
Model results have limits
Results depend on the information and assumptions entered, along with the project's modeling methods. Returns, inflation, taxes, healthcare costs, benefits, laws, longevity, and personal circumstances can differ materially from a modeled scenario.
Outputs are estimates, not forecasts or guarantees. A modeled success rate is not a probability that your real plan will succeed, and no output is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, claim, retire, spend, or take any other action.
Your responsibility
- Check inputs, assumptions, calculations, and time-sensitive rules before relying on them.
- Consult qualified professionals who can consider your complete circumstances before making consequential decisions.
- Keep any local backup files you need. There is no account or server plan database from which the project can recover a lost plan.
- Use the site lawfully and do not attempt to interfere with its operation or other people's access.
Road Guide and external services
Road Guide is an AI feature and may misunderstand a question, omit context, or provide an inaccurate answer. Do not treat its response as professional advice or use it as the sole basis for a financial decision.
When you activate Road Guide, microphone audio, conversation transcripts, and selected plan context can be sent through LiveKit to OpenAI. Generated voice can also be sent to Anam to render synchronized avatar video. A deployment may also enable Vercel analytics or performance services. Review the privacy page before using those features.
Availability and changes
The project may change, suspend, or remove features and content. Access may be interrupted, and the project is provided without a promise that it will be error-free, continuously available, or fit for a particular purpose.
These terms may be revised as the project changes. The date at the top identifies the latest substantive revision. Continued use after a revision means the revised terms apply to later use.
Questions about these terms can be raised through the contact page.
